About Us

Our Mission

To increase computer literacy in Sierra County and to provide FREE public access to computers and the internet.

About Us

Welcome to the 4th Street Computer Lab. We are dedicated to providing you free access to computers, the internet, copying and printing, with a focus on dependability, customer service and a friendly atmosphere.

Founded in 1997 by Jane Greene, 4th Street Computer Lab has come a long way from its beginnings. Jane was a passionate and dedicated community activist that believed in and worked for a better and more just world. By the time Jane moved to Truth or Consequences, she had directed non-profit emergency food banks, domestic violence shelters, and written numerous grants. This experience led to a pivotal role in the outcome of the Turner Grant monies that funded 4th Street Computer Lab.

We provide services to residents of T or C, Elephant Butte, Williamsburg, Caballo, Hillsboro, and others, and are thrilled to be a part of the community.

We are staffed wholly by volunteers and are kept running by your tax deductible donations.

We hope you enjoy our lab as much as we enjoy offering it to you. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
